Emily Graham Joins Team GtmPR

GtmPR - Emily Graham

We've had the privilege to see Emily compete first hand on a few occasions. Most recently we saw her compete at Oktoberfest Obliteration 6 against Team GtmPR with her very strong team from CrossFit® Annihilation. I'm sure she would rather I not remind her, but their team came in a very close second to our team. She and her teammates were fierce, relentless and very well organized. Emily competes because she feels that it's one of the ways an athlete can measure success and identify their own strengths and weaknesses.

All of Emily's friends think that she's crazy. In other words, she's extremely dedicated to being the best athlete she can be. Ever since she found CrossFit® 3.5 years ago on a recommendation from a friend, Emily has wanted to be better. She quickly found that she was able to do things she never thought possible. These new found abilities and strengths only made her want to push her limits further so that she could see just how far she can go and she feels that there is still a lot of room for growth. This attribute of self-awareness is the one that makes phenomenal athletes.

A 148th place finish in last year's Open left Emily wanting more. Since then she has identified where she needs more work and has made a commitment to bettering those things. Emily's goal for 2016 is to perform well in the CrossFit® Games Open to help her box, CrossFit® Annihilation, put a team into the South Regional. She intends to do so with the rigorous training schedule she has set for herself, which currently is 5-6 days per week and 2-4 hours each day. It's this type of dedication to becoming Greater that has landed her on Team GtmPR.

When asked what Greater than my PR meant to her she said:

A PR is something you strive for, but it's never good enough. It's a step towards your ultimate goals that make you want to keep climbing.

We couldn't agree more. PR's are meant to be surpassed. Welcome to Team GtmPR.
